Arizona Game & Fish Department | Phoenix, Arizona
The first phase of the Wildlife Education Center was sensitively planned on approximately three-acres near the Arizona Game & Fish Department Headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona. The 3,900 square foot Animal Care Facility, along with the 11,000 square foot Educational Holding Aviary and Animal Holding Pens will treat and house small, large and dangerous mammals, birds and reptile species for catch and release, and other educational programs for children and visitors. The landscaping will complement the surrounding arid desert terrain and will bring refuge and respite for birds and other species with colorful blooming desert trees, plants, accents, cacti, and ground covers, which will also be an avenue for educating the public on the importance of the preservation and protection of desert flora.
