The project included design and construction documents for 4,000 linear feet of 12-inch water transmission line. The new line provided the water supply for a small stand-alone water system. A Pressure Reducing Valve (PRV) was required to reduce pressure for this system. The project included three drainage channel crossings.
A water model was prepared to verify fire flow and pressure requirements for the new service area. Permits were obtained from Pima County Flood Control and a Army Corp of Engineer’s Nationwide12 404 was utilized for the crossing of the drainage channels. EPS Group assisted the water company with the bidding of the projects, reviewed bids, and made a recommendation of award. Post-design services included construction administration and processing the project trough Pima County Department of Environmental Quality for the Approval of Construction on the project.
