The new Marana Police Facility is a state-of-the-art building that spans 42,000 square feet and features an indoor shooting range, a gym, a virtual training room, K-9 facilities with kennels, and expanded storage and evidence rooms. EPS Group provided civil engineering and survey services, including designing a new parking lot configuration, water and sewer systems, paving, grading, and drainage. This project is a tremendous asset for the entire community, not just the police department.

The new secured parking lot will provide a safer environment for police officers and their vehicles. Separate holding cells for adults and minors will be secured from other parts of the facility. The new storage rooms for evidence will centralize all Marana police materials, and the larger administrative and records rooms will be able to accommodate all police records, including a special storage space for homicide cases. The K-9 amenities, a care center, tools, and indoor/outdoor areas are additional improvements.
Lastly, the public will have access to the inclusive community room, which is ideal for meetings, ceremonies, events, and classes. The community room can be opened up to the improved courtyard, which will encourage staff and the public to use this area as a center of activity. The Marana Police Department’s new station is a valuable asset to the community, and it will provide the police department with the tools and facilities needed to keep the community safe.
